We had the pleasure of dining at Hiro Japanese Restaurant today and were extremely impressed. The cuisine was exceptional in every way. The sashimi was flavorful and the salmon simply melted in my mouth. The chef's presentation was impeccable (as you can see ). The Katsu Chicken Curry and my Nabeyaki Udon were both delicious. We can’t wait to go back. We enjoyed chatting with the chef who was kind/personable and answered any questions I had.

Moved to the Jacksonville area within the past year and have searched and tried for truly good sushi (both raw and cooked) and I can hands down say this place is fantastic. Authentic flavors, healthy portions, and a relaxing atmosphere, topped off by very pleasant and friendly staff. I've found my new go-to!
Very good and quick service and delicious food, we accidentally drove into the shopping center and found this gem of a place. Definitely recommend and the dons are so good! So are the sushi.
This place is seriously amazing!!! The service was so good—everyone was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The fatty tuna hand roll was insane!! It was buttery, super fresh, and just melts in your mouth. Honestly one of the best I’ve had. Everything we ordered was great, but the tuna stole the show. I’ll definitely be coming back!!
Outstanding service and quality Japanese food. I’ve never finished a bowl of unagi don so fast—the delicious flavor melted in my mouth and has necessitated a future trip back to this lovely place. Loved the okonomiyaki too!
Sushi has not been the same for me since I visited Japan, but not anymore! Hiro has an impressive Japanese menu, with all the items I have been missing! We tried the sushi dinner which 13 sushi/sashimi, okonomiyaki, unagi bowl, and 2 chu otoro nigiri’s. The host/server gave excellent service, and the sushi chef was fantastic! He was excited to talk about Japan with us. We can’t wait to come back!
If you’re looking for a delicious sushi spot, this is the place to go! My boyfriend and I have come a few times now, and the service and food has been wonderful each time. We had the sushi lunch set during our most recent visit, and it’s a great deal. Very reasonable prices and a very friendly staff.
